Located on Hwy 301 in Bowling Green, VA Team Carolina Real Pit BBQ is rapidly becoming Virginia’s destination BBQ choice. After serving for nearly 40 years as a Southern Baptist minister, Michael Faulkner, a South Carolina native, opened Team Carolina BBQ in 2019 with a passion to serve pit-cooked BBQ that represents the best traditions of the Carolina’s and Texas with exceptional service, in a friendly, family atmosphere.

Our barbequed meats are smoked naturally with local 100% hickory and oak wood in our barbecue pits that operates around the clock. We take pride in being a family-run business and one of the few remaining BBQ joints offering authentic ‘smoked to perfection’ meats and delectable sides. Every day hundreds of pounds of meat are cooked for hours on our BBQ pits for a consistent flavor and a most satisfied customer base. 

Our customers are the most important ingredient to our success and we consider them friends. We welcome each and every customer with true southern hospitality. Our desire is for every customer to experience mouth-watering meals and a smile on their face, as we holler “Y’all Come Back!”

Team Carolina offers a quality catering service, with our family and staff serving schools, churches, weddings, parties and special occasions with 25 to 2500 guests. We also serve corporate and government sectors from Richmond to the District of Columbia.
